University of Kerala — Often called Kerala University (UoK), this is a public research university located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Established in 1937 (originally as the University of Travancore), it’s one of the oldest universities in southern India and offers a broad spectrum of programs through its departments and many affiliated colleges. The university is organized into 16 faculties and 44 teaching/research departments and combines traditional academic education with research and distance learning.
